Ben Campbell
Growing up, Ben Campbell developed a love of singing together with his parents and family, and performed in school choirs and church groups. He always loved making a cappella music because of the vast potential of sounds and harmonies which can be created. He continued to sing at Glenlawn Collegiate under the direction of Marilyn Redekop, and eventually studied Music and Education at the University of Manitoba. He has been fortunate to be able to make music with The Dubs, Mint Vocal Quartet, University Singers, UM Opera Workshop, the Contemporary Opera Lab, The Little Opera Company, Camerata Nova (now Dead of Winter), and the Gilbert and Sullivan Society of Manitoba.
Currently Ben moonlights as a pop singer and founding member of Those Guys, a Winnipeg a cappella group which has had the opportunity to open for exciting acts such as The Nylons and Boney M. By day, he is a high school music teacher in Winnipeg and teaches Choir, Band, Jazz Band, Guitar, & English. He is a committee member for the Manitoba Sings event. Ben lives in Winnipeg with his wife Kristina, two kids, and dog, Cid. |

Dustin Thiessen
Sound engineer Dustin Thiessen got his start in audio when he was a young student, recording himself in his parent's basement with a couple of cheap mics, an audio interface, and GarageBand. Fast forward a few years to playing in bands in high school, he started buying some of his own equipment so the group didn't have to rely on unpredictable "venue PA". From there, Dustin's interest in live audio took off, and he has continued to learn and grow as an engineer, making it his career. Dustin has spent the past six years as a touring sound engineer.
