CMYC 2020: Virtual Choir Guide tracks
Dear CMYC singers,
Thank you very much for taking part in this exciting project. Even though we can't be together in person, I am excited to meet you all. I appreciate you learning your parts in advance of our October 3 rehearsals.

Thank you very much for taking part in this exciting project. Even though we can't be together in person, I am excited to meet you all. I appreciate you learning your parts in advance of our October 3 rehearsals.
Please note the following:
- The key is to get a feel for the melody and rhythm. We will fine tune things when we are in our zoom rehearsals.
- The tracks won't be exact, as it is challenging to line things up without being in the same room as our amazing collaborative pianist. I will work to tighten up the entries and the fermata.
- All sopranos and altos will sing the opening. The tenors and basses will join us at m. 13.
- The cut-off "t" on "ignite" will be on the last beat (beat 6) in m. 28. and m. 63. We will use the same idea for "light" in m. 43. and m. 77.
- In the text, we sing of shining your light in the face of adversity. We speak of making music even though we are apart. We will work to communicate these words with our voices and our faces in the video!

UPDATED TRACKS:
These new tracks include ALL voice parts, but each track is balanced specifically for your voice part! E.g. The Alto track has a very loud alto line, while the rest of the choral parts are quite soft. This will help with entries and timing while also helping you to easily hear and match your notes.
